How ReFirme™ ST Skin Tightening Works
The ReFirme™ ST system stimulates collagen growth through a controlled combination of infrared light and bipolar radiofrequency energies, which reach the dermal layer of skin. The outer layer of skin is then tightened and smoothed as the dermal layer, below the surface, is rebuilt from new collagen production.
The entire procedure lasts approximately 30 minutes. A topical anesthetic is applied to the treatment area, and then a cold gel is applied to the skin for enhanced comfort and to protect the top layer of skin. Next, the treatment applicator is used to send necessary pulses to specified problem areas.
After the treatment, a mild redness may be visible, which is just a temporary side effect. Up to five total treatments are generally recommended every three to four weeks for optimal results.
