Types of Facial Peels
Two types of extremely safe and effective facial peels are offered at ImageRx®:
VI Peel
The VI peel is designed to dramatically enhance the appearance of your skin. This facial peel consists of a synergistic blend of gentle yet powerful ingredients suitable for all skin types. The procedure involves the application of this special chemical solution, which gradually removes the top layer of skin. The fresh, healthy skin underneath is then revealed, while natural collagen is stimulated. The entire process lasts approximately 20 to 30 minutes; however, the peel must remain on the skin for up to five hours after your appointment.
The VI Peel can:
- Improve the tone, texture, and clarity of the skin
- Reduce or eliminate age spots, freckles, and hyper-pigmentation, including melasma
- Treat various forms of skin damage, including precancerous skin cells
- Soften lines and wrinkles
- Stimulate collagen and elastin for firmer skin

Obagi Blue Peel
The Obagi Blue Peel is an in-office procedure, which uses a low concentration of trichlorocetic acid (TCA) mixed with a special blue base to slow penetration. The depth of the peel and the number of coats applied can be tailored to your skin’s specific needs. After the peel, you may experience light swelling, and your skin will begin to peel within two to three days. Your skin should be healed within seven to ten days. Once peeling has finished, you will notice dramatic results, and your skin will continue to improve over the next four to six weeks.
The Obagi Blue Peel can:
- Dramatically reduce the appearance of lines or wrinkles
- Treat skin conditions, such as sun spots or freckles
- Effectively eliminate acne problems
- Work on the face, neck, chest, hands, back, arms, and legs
