Types of Dermal Fillers
Several dermal fillers are offered at ImageRx®, all of which are safe and effective for the treatment of lines, wrinkles, or scarring. During your consultation, we will discuss your ideal outcome, and recommend which treatment is right for you.
Collagen
CosmoDerm® and CosmoPlast® are two dermal fillers that consist of highly purified human-based collagen. These treatments were formulated especially for correcting fine lines, wrinkles, and some shallow scars. We recommend these fillers for smoothing frown lines, smile lines, crow’s feet around the eyes, and the lines around the lips. Results are visible immediately after treatment and continue to last from three to six months, depending on the area being treated and the amount of collagen used.
Radiesse™
Radiesse™ is an aqueous gel-like substance containing suspended microspheres of calcium hydroxyl apatite. The consistently shaped and sized particles have proven to be safe and biocompatible while allowing gradual tissue to grow. This type of dermal filler is recommended for correcting severe nasolabial folds or defects, and results typically last from seven months to a year.
Restylane®
Restylane® is a gel consisting of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the human body that is responsible for full, youthful-looking skin. Restylane® is used to treat moderate to severe folds and wrinkles on the face, particularly the glabellar lines, which appear between the eyebrows; the nasolabial folds, which extend from the root of the nose to the angle of the mouth; and the areas around the lips. Results are instantly noticeable and typically last from six to nine months.
Juvéderm™
Juvéderm™ is a colorless hyaluronic acid-based gel that is injected for the purpose of diminishing deep wrinkles or nasolabial folds. Hyaluronic acid is a material produced naturally in the body, providing nutrients and hydration to the skin. After treatment, you will be able to see visible improvements in the texture of your skin right away. This FDA-approved dermal filler produces results that can last up to a year.
